Atlanta Hawks and Kia Motors Hosted Free Youth Clinic in Lynwood Park
The tour features clinics that teach basketball fundamentals to local youth
The Atlanta Hawks and Kia Motors of America (KMA) have teamed up this summer to host the fifth annual Atlanta Hawks Kia Summer Hoops Tour and one of its stops Monday was .
The tour - scheduled to offer 20 clinics in 25 days during July throughout Metro Atlanta - offered a high-energy basketball clinic offered by the Atlanta Hawks Basketball Development Team.Β More than 50 boys and girls were taught basketball fundamentals while they learned about the importance of school, character and fitness.Β
The participants also received a jersey and bag courtesy of KMA and the Atlanta Hawks.

βI had so much fun,β local six-year-old Kimberly Lambiase said.
The stop also included a shooting competition.Β Coach Donovhan, Chelsea Walton, Gemini Wilson, Tayo Ellison and Julian Alvarez competed, with Coach Donovhan claiming the victory.

βWe are very excited to have Kia and the Atlanta Hawks here.Β The kids have waited patiently to have them here,β said Jared Hudson, Lynwood Recreation Center Director.Β βIt lets the kids know that itβs fun to be physically active, itβs fun to play basketball and also for them to stay active the rest of their lives.Β It also gives them some life skills β discipline, that they have to help people around them and positivity.β
