Brookhaven Bolt Electrifies City, Benefits Local School
The 12th annual Brookhaven Bolt was held Saturday, benefitting Ashford Park Elementary School.
BROOKHAVEN, GA -- The 12th annual Brookhaven Bolt was held Saturday, May 18. One hundred percent of the race's proceeds are donated directly to Ashford Park Elementary School. The race course is USATF Certified and has been called challenging but fair by previous runners. The Brookhaven Bolt is also an official AJC Peachtree Road Race qualifying event.
The Brookhaven Bolt was created by Bill Sluben in 2007 with about 200 runners the first year. Since then it has raised over $300,000 for Ashford Park Elementary and now hosts over 1900 runners annually.
