Brookhaven Burglary Suspect Arrested, 1 At Large

Anonymous tipsters can receive a $5,000 reward for information leading to the whereabouts of a suspect wanted in a burglary.

BROOKHAVEN, GA — A Brookhaven burglary suspect is in jail, and another is at large, following a crash, Fulton County authorities said Tuesday.

The Fulton County Sheriff's Office did not specify when, how or where in Fulton the crash happened. Authorities did not detail the suspected burglary.

An investigator on patrol recently saw a stolen van driving past him, and when he tried to conduct a traffic stop, authorities said the van sped away from the scene and forced a police chase.

The van, which was last seen in Clayton County, then turned down a dead end street and crashed, authorities said. Both of the occupants ran from the scene, and passenger Amanda Noble was captured, authorities said.

The driver of the van, identified as 47-year-old Donald Johnson, remains at large, authorities said.

The 44-year-old Atlanta resident was arrested on charges of two counts of willful obstruction of law enforcement officers, theft by receiving stolen property and VGCSA-possession of controlled substance in schedule I or schedule II with intent to distribute, authorities said.
