Buckhead Shoplifting Suspect Has Ties to Chamblee
Police said the man caught stealing clothes from a Buckhead store, had been busted for driving a stolen car from a Chamblee dealership.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that a man who authorities said stole thousands of dollars worth of high-end clothing from a Buckhead boutique, had been arrested the week before for driving a stolen vehicle off a Chamblee car lot.
According to the report, the man police identified as Tavoris Ashmon, 25, posed as a test driver a week ago at the Chamblee Audi dealership. According to news reports, police said Ashmon nearly hit employees working in the lot as he drove off - unknowingly speeding by a DeKalb County police officer.

Sgt. Dan Oak told Channel 2 that he stopped Ashmon and took him into custody for driving the stolen Audi S-5.
Sunday night, Oak said, he recognized Ashmon in the video from MODA404 boutique broadcast on the Channel 2 new show. The video showed that the man walked off with the boutique clothing that store employees said he did not pay for.
The AJC reported that Ashmon was served arrest warrants while being held in DeKalb County jail on two counts of theft by receiving, among other charges.
