Chamblee Police Win Georgia 'Tough Cop' Competition

Chamblee police officers placed well in last week's Georgia Tough Cop Competition.

One of the department's officers placed first, and another placed third. From a departmental statement:

The competition featured a challenging obstacle course followed by a 1.7 mile run in tough conditions.  Competitors then returned and completed three other obstacles including a water carrying station, pushing a patrol car, and then carrying a rescue dummy across several steep hills.

The event was won by Chamblee Police Department Officer Valerian Khoshtariya with a winning time of 19 minutes, 25 seconds. Dalton Firefighter Douglas Kerns finished second overall with a time of 20 minutes 12 seconds. Chamblee Police Captain Mike Beller finished third overall with a time of 20 minutes 28 seconds. Great Job guys!
