DeKalb County Election Guide 2016: Voting Hours, Polling Locations, Sample Ballots and More

What you need to know before Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 8.

DEKALB COUNTY, GA — Local voters will be heading to the polls for Election Day to choose the next president of the United States, along with filling congressional and statehouse seats and answering state and local ballot questions.

Polls are open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 8.

Here's a list of all poll locations from DeKalb County Board of Elections and Registration. You can check your voter registration information, including poll location, at the Georgia voting MVP website.

By state law, "Each elector shall present proper identification to a poll worker." Acceptable photo IDs include a driver's license, passport or voter identification card. See more Voter ID rules.

Presidential race selections include Republican Donald Trump, Democrat Hillary Clinton and Libertarian Gary Johnson. Green Party candidate Jill Stein is not on the ballot in Georgia.

Voters statewide will be choosing a U.S. senator, selecting from incumbent Republican Johnny Isakson, Democrat Jim Barksdale and Libertarian Allen Buckley.

Congressional races representing portions of DeKalb County include incumbent Democrat Hank Johnson Jr. defending the 4th District seat against Republican Victor Armendariz. Incumbent Democrat John Lewis taking on a challenge for the 5th District seat from Republican Douglas Bell. In the 6th District race, incumbent Republican Tom Price faces challenger Democrat Rodney Stooksbury.

The only contested race in DeKalb County government is for DeKalb County Sheriff, between incumbent Democrat Jeffrey L. Mann and Republian challenger Harold Dennis. All other county races are uncontested on the ballot.
