1. Congratulations for surviving the storm, neighbors! The tornado watch for metro Atlanta is canceled and the severe threat is over. The National Weather Service predicts a forecast of 30 percent chance of showers before 8 a.m., then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 72.

2. Get out today and join a fun shopping experience today at the at the Five Points Shopping Center on Johnson Ferry Road with live Mandolin music, by Brookhaven neighbor Clark Brown and a weekly hopscotch (unofficial) tournament. Then savor the flavors of fresh produce, tamales,  cheeses, spiced nuts, baked goods, cookies, BBQ, from locals.

3. Each day at 10 a.m. is Mom Time @ 10 here at Brookhaven Patch. Come back at 10 a.m. for our moms content dedicated especially to moms and families. Thursdays is the day for Frugal Families. Our Moms Time columnist has scoured the area for the best deals of the week. You don't want to miss it!

5. The Manna Fund is hosting a fundraiser today at on Dresden Drive. Although your presence is the most important aspect of making this a successful event, it is also a charitable event.  The scholarship fund organizers will be providing music, wine tasting, a small silent auction, and a lot of fun!  Each person is asked to donate $10 at the door for the event.
