2. Bring your lounge chairs and dancing shoes for the Concert Near the Field. This family event sponsored by St. Martins in Fields allows families to bring a picnic or buy grilled treats hosted by the local Boy Scouts troop. It will be an afternoon of blues, jazz and rock and roll with local favorite the Chicago Joe Jones Band.
3.Pitch in to help keep looking beautiful. The Ashford Park PTA is sponsoring a grounds clean up today from 8 a.m. to Noon at the school.

4. Go cheer on the runners for the today that started at the Brookhaven/Oglethorpe MARTA Station. Fund raiser is for Leukemia & Lymphoma Society/Team In Training-GA Chapter.

Inland Waters Pollution Control will start a sanitary sewer inspection project in the Johnson Ferry Road area during the week of Monday, May 2 – Friday, May 6. There will be a single lane closure in effect from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. for the streets listed on this schedule and the flow of traffic will be maintained by the contractor during the hours of operations.
