Holiday Tree Lighting Tonight at Town Brookhaven
Event was rescheduled due to weather.
The community is invited to Town Brookhaven's holiday tree lighting tonight after the event last week was canceled due to inclement weather.
Mayor J. Max Davis will light the tree, Santa will visit with children, and sleighs will take visitors around the development.
Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic School choir will perform, and drama students from Chamblee High will read " 'Twas the Night Before Christmas."
A screening of the "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" will take place at 7:30, while various shops and restaurants will offer promotions and holiday treats.
The festivities start at 5:30, with the tree lighting at 6:30. Town Brookhaven is on Peachtree Road next to Oglethorpe University.
