Homeowner Wakes Up to Bloody Intruder

An unknown man ran into a Brookhaven home and begged the homeowner to call police

A Brookhaven homeowner was stunned early this morning when a man - clad only in his underwear - ran into his house, dripping blood, asking him to call police, the Atlanta Journal Constitution is reporting.

The article reported that the homeowner, who did not want to be identified, was asleep in his recliner when the man came bursting through the door shortly after 5 a.m. in the 3200 block of Ashford Dunwoody Road.

"I was sleeping in front my TV, a man poured through the door, locked the door behind him and said ‘call the police, call the police!' ... I was scared to death, I didn't know this man, he was hiding in my living room behind the couch  and I'm calling police," the homeowner said, as quoted by the AJC.

According to the report the intruder told police he lost his clothes running through the woods and that the the story he told police after authorities finally calmed him down, was incoherent.
