BROOKHAVEN, GA β€” As we move away from the Christmas holiday, some residents may be looking to remove their Christmas trees. There are three ways to remove your trees in Brookhaven.

The city of Brookhaven's Christmas tree recycling is managed by the DeKalb County Public Works Department, which is operating curbside Christmas tree recycling from Dec. 28 through Jan. 7, 2021. Trees left at the curb should be seven feet or less; taller trees should be cut down to length. All lights and decorations must be removed from the tree.

The Home Depot also has drop-off locations for Georgians to recycle fir, pine, cedar or cypress Christmas trees. According to PickYourOwnChristmasTree.org, most Home Depot locations across the state will accept trees for recycling.
