Oglethorpe Students Help Disaster Stricken Communities
A group of 34 students traveled to Ringgold, Georgia and Montgomery, Alabama for relief work.
More than 214 hours of service by 's Center for Civic Engagement were clocked this week after a group of students traveled to Ringgold, Georgia and Montgomery, Alabama to help with relief work - the site of two deadly tornadoes that destroyed hundreds of homes and businesses, Oglethorpe University's blog reports.
Not only did the group give several hours of community service, the group donated "37 pounds of hygienic supplies for disaster victims in 14 of the hardest hit areas", according to the school's blog.
