Popular Brookhaven Touch-A-Truck Returns Later This Month
The family friendly event returns June 29 with wide range of vehicles at Blackburn Park.

BROOKHAVEN, GA -- The popular family-friendly Brookhaven Touch-A-Truck event returns to Blackburn Park, 3493 Ashford Dunwoody Road on Saturday, June 29, from 10 am-1 pm. The hands-on, educational event offers opportunities for children to explore, climb and touch a all types of trucks, emergency response vehicles, heavy machinery and other equipment. Included in the machinery mix will be police vehicles, fire trucks and ambulances, giving the youngsters the opportunity to meet those who protect, serve and build our community.
According to the city, the vehicle participation list is still growing, but kids will also be able to experience larger-than-life trucks, public safety equipment, cool cars and specialty vehicles.
For special needs youngsters, the first 30 minutes of the event will be sensory friendly with no sirens and light free.

There will also be plenty of other activities for children of all ages including a bicycle decorating competition, GoGo squeeZ Apple Sauce giveaways, food trucks and more.
“As in past years, kids will have a chance to see a variety of service vehicles up close and personal,” said Brookhaven Parks and Recreation Director Brian Borden. “They will get to meet vehicle owners and operators and parents will have a blast watching their kids touch, climb on and interact with this awesome exhibition of transportation. We invite everyone to come out for this fun and educational day.”
