Plane Crash Still Under Investigation
Investigators said a full report would be complete within the next 30 days.
An investigator with the National Transportation Safety Board said the small plane crash just two miles from on Oct. 17 is still under investigation.
"We have a pretty good idea what may have happened," said Eric Alleyne, an investigator with the NTSB, "but we aren't ready just yet to release any findings."
A Cessna 172 was attempting to return to DeKalb-Peachtree Airport after a trip from Hilton Head Island, S.C. according to police. The plane's pilot, however called in and reported engine trouble before crashing into a tree and landed in the backyard of a home in the 2500 block of Hawthorne Drive.

The pilot and his young son were injured, but have since been treated and released for injuries. No one in the neighborhood was injuried.
Alleyne said the findings would be available within the next 30 days.
