Two Arrested In Connection With More Than 30 Car Break-ins
Brookhaven police have arrested a 17-year-old and a 15-year-old in connection with a string of dozens of car break-ins.
BROOKHAVEN, GA -- Police have arrested two people in connection with a string of more than 30 car break-ins. Kentavious Ponder, 17, of Riverdale, Georgia, was arrested early Wednesday morning. Police have also arrested a 15-year-old juvenile. The arrests were made while police were canvassing the area around Woodrow Way on earlier reports of entering autos and saw three suspects.
Police said the suspects fled on foot as a Brookhaven officer tried to detain them. A perimeter was set up and a K-9 unit started a track on the subjects.
Police determined a total of four suspects, two of whom are still at large. Police processed more than 30 vehicles believed to have been forcibly entered and recovered three fingerprints.
