Interim Superintendent to Remain At the Helm Until Fall

DeKalb County Interim School Superintendent will remain in her role until the Fall as ratified by a unanimous vote by the nine-member school board to extend her contract, the AJC reported.

The vote extended Tyson's contract to Sept. 30 or until a new superintendent is hired, according to the report.

Tyson's salary is $240,000 remained unchanged.

Tyson's contract was to expire this week.
