🌱 Atlanta BeltLine Map Released + Morgan Medical Center Fundraiser

Here are the top three stories today in Buckhead:

1. The Atlanta BeltLine has released a map of where the northwest trail will be built. The trail will be running through Buckhead near Piedmont Atlanta Hospital and the Hemphill Water Treatment Park. The Atlanta BeltLine plans for the work to be completed by 2030. Click the following link to view the map. (CBS 46)
2. Old Fourth Ward residents may now need to travel to Buckhead for medical treatment. Atlanta Medical Center is shutting down and will be forcing residents to seek medical care elsewhere. Residents will need to find alternative medical options come Nov. 1. (CBS 46)
3. The 20th Annual Festival of Friends fundraiser raised about $36,000 for Morgan Medical Center. The fundraiser was held on Saturday, Aug. 26 at Variety Works. Morgan Medical Center's CEO reports that fundraisers like the Festival of Friends allow the center to stay current with medical technology advances while serving the community as a patient-focused center.
