UPDATE: All Clear at Atlanta Elementary School

Atlanta police say that the all clear has been given at an elementary school that was the subject of a suspicious package scare on Thursday.

Police and Atlanta Fire Rescue units were on scene of a suspicious package at Bethune Elementary School just after noon, spokeswoman Kim Jones said. Firefighters and SWAT units were dispatched, and Homeland Security was notified.

Students were evacuated to Brown Middle School, WSB-TV says.

APD Spokesman Ralph Woolfolk tells Patch that the all clear has been given.
