ATLANTA, GA — An argument led to a deadly police shooting that killed a man Saturday night near Irby Avenue Northwest and Caine Hill Place, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation said Sunday.

An Atlanta police officer working an off-duty job was requested around 11:30 p.m. to the area after receiving notice of an argument outside involving Linton Blackwell, 44, of Atlanta, the GBI said.
