Buckhead Bank Robbery Suspect Sought

Police said the man escaped the Thursday morning armed robbery with roughly $7,000.

Atlanta police are asking for the public’s help to locate a man they say robbed a bank in Buckhead at gunpoint Thursday morning.

Police said the man walked into the Wells Fargo at 4454 Roswell Road NE at approximately 10:15 a.m., pointed a handgun at a teller, and said “give me all your money!” The teller complied and gave the man around $7,000. After getting the money, the man fled in a red SUV which was last spotted traveling westbound on Wieuca Road.

Witnesses described the suspect as a black male, 20-25 years old, short, thin build, wearing black jeans, black sweat shirt, black hat and a red bandanna covering the lower half of his face, police said.
