Buckhead Coalition Making Upgrades at Lenox Square
The Coalition installs a kiosk at Lenox Square for free cell-phone charging.

What better suggestion for a βtown squareβ than Lenox Square?Β Itβs widely known that the quality of a city is commonly measured by the inventory of its hardware store.
βBy the same tokenβ, presidentΒ Β exclaims, βa good community must have a good people-watching location β a town square if you will.βΒ
Lenox Square, covering 65-acres of property with 250 retail units and an estimated 55,000 people per day becomes theΒ de factoΒ Town Square for this community, and the Coalition has partnered with its owners, Simon Properties, in making it attractive and comfortable.

Simon is adding seating arrangements at its Guest Services counter, and the Coalition is first installing a kiosk for free cell-phone charging while patrons are waiting for spouses who are shopping. The kiosk will handle eight mobile devices at one time, with various outlet configurations.
It will also be stocked with reference material, like theΒ Buckhead Guidebook, GA-400 Hospitality Highway Maps, etc. Other suggestions will be welcomed. Also, partnership arrangements will be considered for additional assembly locations.Β

The Buckhead Coalition is an influential nonprofit civic association, much like a chamber of commerce for this affluent northern quadrant of the city of Atlanta.Β
Its membership is limited to 100 CEOs of major area firms, by invitation. It is in its 24thΒ year, with the mission to βnurture the quality of life and help coordinate an orderly growthβ in the 28 square miles with a population of 78,000.Β
Its founding President isΒ SamΒ Massell, a former Mayor of Atlanta. Its Chairman (changed every two years) is John G. (Sonny) Morris, Chairman, Morris, Manning & Martin. L.L.P.
