Buckhead Hotel Hosts Photo Scanning Event
Event organizers want to get 100,000 family photos from Atlanta-area residents digitally preserved during the two-day event.

Atlanta moms and photo organizers have a mission to complete this Friday and Saturday: Scan 100,000 photos from area residents and help them preserve memories for generations. The free, local event is part of the nationally-recognized Save Your Photos Day, which calls on families to save their treasured photos from unexpected events such as fires and crashed hard drives.

Community members are encouraged to bring their family photos, both old and new and as many as they wish, and learn how Forever can provide a secure and permanent photo storage solution. Experts from Forever and Certified Association of Personal Photo Organizers members will be on hand to help moms and Atlanta area residents complete the overwhelming task of photo organization and digital preservation.
The scanning event will run from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday at the Grand Hyatt Atlanta Buckhead.
