Buckhead Woman Survives Friday Morning Kidnapping, Armed Robbery
Police say the robbers drove the victim to an ATM and made her withdraw cash.
Atlanta police say a Buckhead woman was kidnapped at gunpoint and forced to withdraw money from an ATM machine early Friday morning.
Police say the incident happened around 2:10 a.m. Friday as the woman was returning home to her apartment in the 800 block of Lenox Oaks Circle. Three males with a gun forced her back into her car.
According to the Atlanta Police Department, "the suspects drove to at least one ATM machine and withdrew money."Β

The kidnappers covered the woman's head as they drove around for a half an hour. Officer Kim Jones told Buckhead Patch "the victim advised that other stops were made but she could not readily identify the locations since her head was covered."
The ordeal lasted 30 to 45 minutes. Once the suspects had the victimβs money, they returned her to where they had accosted her and fled on foot, Jones said.

The victim reported that the suspects had portions of their faces covered and that she did not get a good look at them.
