So far, 16.7% intend to meet new people or interact more with current friends. Letting go of negativity is the goal for 25%, and 16.7% want to travel or experience something new. 📰 Here are the top stories today in Buckhead:
- Who is the burglar of Albemarle Drive? Reportedly, a man “fired shots into a home, broke in, and left on foot” on December 5. Law enforcement has surveillance video of the burglar. (Fox)
- Chief Judge Christopher Brasher announced his retirement from the Fulton County Superior Court after 16 years of service. Last week, he reminded those attending the announcement that the “job is not mine. I am merely a steward of this job.” (Fulton County)
- The Buckhead Run Club meets today, Tuesday, at the Iron Hill Brewery at 6 PM. Located at 3535 Peachtree Road Northeast, Iron Hill is the starting point for anyone who enjoys “the safety of a group run.” And before you say that you’re not sufficiently ready, the friendly folks invite you to “run, walk or even cartwheel!” By the way, you might find that you’re having a great time, which means that you could join the group every Tuesday for a group run. (Livable Buckhead)
- Mark your calendars now! Fitz and the Tantrums announced Monday that the band will come to the Buckhead Theatre on February 13! "We are so excited for the world to hear our fifth studio album!" Michal "Fitz" Fitzpatrick said. (Broadway World)
- If you haven’t bought a Christmas tree yet, consider going carbon-positive. We learned last week that ServeScape will deliver potted trees right to your home. And, instead of recycling a dry tree that sheds needles everywhere, you get to plant the potted tree outside “with the bag of organic compost ServeScape provides and continue to enjoy your tree for many years to come!” (Livable Buckhead)
