Crime Blotter: Thief Makes Off with Motorcycle After Meeting Seller from Craig's List

Other Larceny, Exxon at 1401 Paces Ferry Road NW

4/1/13 at 8 a.m.

Man put his wallet and cell phone in a bag under a bush and then went running. When he returned, he found his items missing. A witness found the empty bag.

Larceny from Auto, Chastain Park at 135 West Wieuca Road NW

4/1/13 at 7 p.m.

Someone broke out the rear passenger side window and stole a woman's iPad. She was parked at the Chastain Horse Park.

Aggravated Assault at Lenox Square, 3393 Peachtree Road NE

4/1/13 at 4:01 p.m.

A man was watched on security cameras stealing True Religion jeans, passing all points of sale. When store security attempted to detain the suspect, he reached into his bag and pulled out what the guards thoguht was a silver 9mm handgun with a black handle and pointed it in a guard's face before running away. The suspect was found beneath a deck and arrested. The object the suspect used fell out of his pocket, police report, and was never found.

Robbery-Pedestrian, 3500 Peachtree Road NE

4/5/13 at 9 p.m.

Two victims were robbed at gunpoint by a man. The suspect took two cell phones, a wallet, a debit card and driver's license. Video footage was available.

Auto Theft, Lenox Square at 3393 Peachtree Road NE

4/5/13 at 3:10 p.m.

Man went into mall and when he returned his car was gone from its parking spot. No glass was found in the spot.

Robbery-Pedestrian, 2500 Pinetree Road NE

4/3/13 at 2:10 a.m.

Two male suspects robbed the victim by placing a gun to his back. One suspect told the victim to give him all he had. An iPhone, wallet, debit card, computer and license were taken from the victim. No cameras and no fingerprints were available.

Auto Theft, 2537 Piedmont Road NE

3/31/13 at 1:45 p.m.

A man was attempting to sell his motorcycle to the suspect, whom he met online through Craig's List. When they met at the location, the victim got off the motorcycle and the suspect hopped on and rode away.
