Debate on Stadium Subsidies Set for Tuesday

While the debate will not focus on the new Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta Braves stadiums specifically, attendees are encouraged to apply what they learn to their opinions of these projects, regardless of their political/economic leanings.

The issue of stadium subsidies for the Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta Braves directly impacts all of us here in Georgia. America’s Future Foundation has decided to host a debate on economic benefits (or detriments) of subsidizing sports stadiums as part of the What’s Best for America’s Future? debate series. This is an educational event with the purpose of helping attendees understand both sides and form their own opinion on the topic.

This friendly debate on public subsidies for stadiums is between economists Dr. Bruce Seaman of Georgia State University and Dr. Victor Matheson of the College of the Holy Cross.
