Famed Singer Tyrese Faces Animal Cruelty Charge In GA: Reports

Singer-actor Tyrese Gibson's Cane Corso dogs were accused of killing a neighbor's dog in a Buckhead community.

ATLANTA, GA — Fulton County authorities have issued a warrant charging singer-actor Tyrese Gibson with animal cruelty after they say his dogs recently ran loose and killed a neighbor's dog in a Buckhead community, media reports say.

The incident happened on Sept. 18 when authorities say Gibson's four Cane Corso dogs killed a 5-year-old King Charles cavalier spaniel, CBS News reported, citing Fulton County Police.

The slain dog, named Henry, was found dead by his owner five minutes after being let outside, WXIA reported.

Minutes later, the authorities were called and officers with Animal Control had to escort a woman to her car after Gibson's dogs blocked her from the vehicle, CBS News reported, citing police.

Recent events were not the first time Gibson has been warned about his dogs. Reports say the dogs were caught running loose five times at least a week before Henry died.
