📰 Here are the top stories in Buckhead today:

  1. What caused a Christmas Day fire at the old Rosati’s Pizza at 4629 Wieuca Road Northeast? The location has sat empty since February, when the business closed its doors. Calls about the fire started coming in at 3:30 p.m. When firefighters arrived, they found the old restaurant engulfed in flames, with “heavy fire on the second floor.” (Reporter Newspapers)
  2. Residents love The Atlantic Brookwood at 2035 Peachtree Street Northeast for its trendy location and spacious floor plans. But on Christmas Eve, the apartments experienced “severe blooding from burst water pipes” that led to standing water in hallways and ceiling light fixtures that turned into water spigots. They weren’t the only apartment complex. Frozen pipes thawing and bursting also led to damage at the “Icon Buckhead, Peninsula, The Reserve at Lavista Walk, Camden Midtown, Plaza Midtown, Sheraton Atlanta Downtown, Regency Square, Aster Buckhead, Paces 325, Helios, and Hanover Alexan on 8th, and Freedom Height Lofts.” (11 Alive, Reporter Newspapers)
  3. Christmas Eve temperature records were set in and around Atlanta! The city recorded a drop to 8 degrees, which “makes Christmas Eve morning the coldest day in the city since January 2014.” Temps in the mid-20s are more typical. (WSBTV)
  4. If you’re looking for a beach-themed place to forget the low temperatures, head to the Big Ketch Saltwater Grill at 3279 Roswell Road Northeast. We learned on Monday that it's the “perfect place to enjoy summertime fun even in the dead of winter.” Insiders point out that the seafood is delivered daily from the coast, guaranteeing freshness. If you’re just looking for the summer illusion, you can also order a burger. (Only In Your State)
