Flash Flood Warning Issued for Atlanta
Forecasters predict three more inches of rain will cause flash flooding in the next several hours.
ATLANTA, GA -- The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Warning for the City of Atlanta Thursday morning.
The warning runs until 2 p.m. Thursday.
With one to two inches of rain on the ground already, forecasters predict up to three more inches will be deposited in the next several hours. The warning predicts flash flooding will begin immediately due to the urban nature of the areas affected.
