UPDATE: Piedmont Road Opens After Gas Leak
Piedmont Road was blocked between Sidney Marcus and Pharr Road, police said Wednesday.

A gas leak that temporarily shut down Piedmont Road in Buckhead has been repaired and traffic control measures have been withdrawn, Atlanta police said just after 3 p.m. Wednesday.
The gas leak at the intersection of Piedmont and Darlington forced the evacuation of one home and two businesses, WSB-TV says.

Due to a gas leak, the following roadways will be closed/blocked. Piedmont Road will be blocked from Sidney Marcus Blvd on south end going north to Pharr Rd. E. Wesley, Pharr, and Sidney Marcus used as detours for traffic to Peachtree Rd. (west) and I-85 (east) MARTA notified and Public Works for detour signs.
