Halloween at Oakland Cemetery

Stories of some of Atlanta's famous residents

In honor of the Halloween season, join Buckhead Heritage and David Moore, Director Emeritus of the Historic Oakland Foundation, as we walk through what Franklin Garrett called, “Atlanta’s most tangible link to her past,” Oakland Cemetery. David will explore Oakland’s history with stories of some if its famous (and infamous) residents, including many Buckhead residents. Together attendees will learn a bit more about our past and why historic preservation is so important. This is a free program Oct. 19 at 7 p.m. at The Cathedral of Saint Philip Gould Room. R.S.V.P. at www.BuckheadHeritage.com. You do not have to be a Buckhead Heritage member to attend.
