Healthy Living, Eating Concept Set for Andrews Square
Sama Food For Balance will be a boon for the shopping center, which is enjoying a renaissance.
BUCKHEAD, GA -- A restaurant focused on health and consciousness is set to join Buckhead's revitalized Andrews Square shopping center.
Sama Food For Balance is slated to open later this year and will feature a 500-square-foot meditation studio and store with "consciously curated products that promote balance in the home and body," according to a news release.
The eatery's concept comes from businesswoman and yoga teacher Shannon Salter Sliger, who is also a Maharishi Ayurvedic wellness consultant.

“The offerings at {SAMA} are created to be delicious, first and foremost,” Sliger says in the news release. “Ayurveda principles teach us that food should be a multisensory and fully satisfying experience that engages our sight, smell and taste through various textures, colors and spices. It just happens to incorporate some of the most nourishing food on the planet, combined in a way that promotes balance and healing in the body.”

Andrews Square is undergoing a growth spurt as new development continues to transform the area. As Patch previously reported, Henri's Bakery & Cafe is moving into the shopping center and opening this spring.
The 6,500-square-foot store, Lucy's Market, continues to anchor the revitalized shopping center along with Poppy's and Boxwoods Home.
Sama's menu will be centered around Balance Bowls of non-GMO vegetables, grain and proteins. Customers will be able to prepare the bowls themselves or order prefixed.
The restaurant will occupy the old Czar Bar space in the retail strip.
