Luxury High-Rise Planned for Buckhead
Tower by Miami development group will be their second Apogee project in Atlanta.
BUCKHEAD, GA -- Construction will reportedly start this month on a 35-story apartment tower in the heart of Buckhead.
Not far from Lenox Square, the project, appropriately called Apogee Buckhead — will rise on the corner of Ga. Highway 400 and Peachtree Road, according to Curbed Atlanta.
Miami-based Related Development is building the luxury high-rises, which will be a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, Curb reports.

The group has a similar project, Apogee Midtown, slated for the corner of 14th and West Peachtree streets. That development will be a 39-story tower anchored by a Whole Foods grocery store at the base. Adding some local flavor to the project will be a giant mural by Atlanta artist Alex Brewer, who goes by HENSE.
He has been commissioned to paint an exterior wall, which spans 95 feet high and 63 feet wide.

“The artwork will be a combination of wall painting and sculpture with large shapes and forms attached to the surface of the building,” Brewer told Atlanta Intown last year. “The idea was born from experimenting with three-dimensional works in my studio and then considering larger, public pieces using similar ideas but with different materials.”
Both the Buckhead and Midtown projects will be reportedly finished by 2018.
