Law enforcement says man fled on foot after wrecking car at Lindbergh.

BUCKHEAD, GA -- Police in Atlanta are searching Friday morning for the driver of a car that crashed into a Buckhead apartment building after a high-speed chase.

A Georgia State Patrol officer tried to pull over a man in a BMW after he was speeding Thursday night, law enforcement officer told local media. The driver sped off and led the patrolman toward the MARTA Station at Lindbergh.

Speeding in the rain, the car lost control and careened into a guard rail, hit some shrubs and crashed into an apartment building. The man fled on foot, police said.
