MARTA CEO Keith Parker Resigns To Lead Goodwill: ICYMI
MARTA CEO Keith Parker has stepped down and is taking the helm at Goodwill Industries.

ATLANTA, GA -- MARTA CEO Keith Parker has stepping down to become the president and CEO at Goodwill Industries, the transit agency announced recently. Parker has helmed MARTA for the past five years, reinvigorating the transit agency and rebuilding its brand through a series of powerful initiatives and appealing to the region's transit needs.
It is unclear when Parker will start his new position at Goodwill Industries.
MARTA Chairman Robbie Ashe said that the agency's board will commence a nationwide search for a successor to Parker. The board will vote on an interim general manager in an upcoming session, he said in s news release.

βWe are deeply grateful for his stewardship and proud of the many strides we made as an agency during his tenure, said Chairman Ashe. βAs chief executive, Parker helped to usher in a new day for MARTAβs customer service, fiscal responsibility, and service expansion. Parker said that the transit agency will fare well going forward because the workers -- not just the CEO -- have worked to make it successful.

βWhen things are going great in an organization like this, the CEO gets way too much credit, because itβs a team effort,β he told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. "When things are going poorly, the CEO far too much blame.β
