Overnight Detour to Affect I-75, Cobb Parkway Traffic

Workers will be setting bridge beams between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. each day through Sept. 30.

Weather permitting, a night time detour will reroute traffic on I-75 Southbound to Cobb Parkway in order to set bridge beams, the Georgia Department of Transportation says.

Work began on Sept. 21 and is planned to run through Wednesday, September 30th between the off-peak hours of 9:00PM – 5:00AM.

Traffic travelling I-75 Southbound to Cobb Parkway will be directed to take the ramp to I-285 Westbound and travel westbound to Paces Ferry Road. Traffic will then be directed to turn left on Paces Ferry Road followed by another left to enter I-285 Eastbound via the ramp from Paces Ferry. Traffic will then continue eastbound and exit onto Cobb Parkway via the I-285 Eastbound exit ramp.

Detours are likely to result in delays. Motorists are advised to exercise caution while driving in these areas. Please be advised construction activities, including material deliveries, may result in traffic delays prior to the start of any lane closures. On-site message boards will indicate detour route.
