ATLANTA, GA β€” What’s the dill? It’s pickleball, y’all.

A new game bar is coming to the Armour Yards in Buckhead (yes, that’s Buckhead) featuring the newest pastime that pairs well with a tray of meats and cheeses and a hoppy craft ale, and is strenuous enough to make Ellen Degeneres a little sore.

When the Painted Pickle opens later this year it will feature indoor and outdoor pickleball courts and the trappings of the bowling alley du jour β€” think the Painted Pin, the nearby bowling alley by the same restaurant and entertainment group, Painted Hospitality, Inc. β€” except for oversized ping pong.

"Painted Pickle will be a high-end hybrid concept combining pickleball (one of the fastest-growing recreational sports in the country that combines elements of table tennis, tennis, and badminton) with other socially active entertainment options, games, and amenities,” Painted Hospitality President and CEO Justin Amick said. β€œThe full-service kitchen will boast a menu featuring sushi, signature charcuterie, cheese and pickle boards, salads, bowls, sandwiches, and share plates. The bar will highlight signature and classic craft cocktails, local and craft beer, and a vast offering of wines by the glass."

Located in β€œThe Armour-Ottley Loop” at 279 Ottley Drive, the 32,500 square foot converted warehouse will offer eight indoor pickleball courts, two expansive outdoor patios, and a variety of options for sharing brews, food and good times with friends. The building also has the advantage of being on the Atlanta Beltline’s Northeast Trail and is in close proximity to Atlanta staples like Sweetwater Brewing Company, Fox Bros. BBQ, and the Atlanta Track Club.
