Robbery Victim Shot, Man Hit in Face With Bottle and More Police Reports
Police have released the latest crime data for Zone 2, which includes Buckhead

Atlanta police have released their latest weekly crime report for Zone 2, the zone which includes Buckhead.
The report counts six robberies, four aggravated assaults, nine residential burglaries, three commercial burglaries, 40 larcenies from vehicle, 45 other larcenies, and 13 auto thefts between Nov. 1 and Nov. 7. Some of the more noteworthy incidents are as follows:
- On the evening of Nov. 5, a man was approached at the Hartford Place Apartments by a black male who asked to use his phone. When the victim complied and handed the suspect his Android Galaxy 3, the suspect stated “this is a nice phone”. Shortly thereafter, the trunk of a silver Ford Focus opened and a black male wearing all black got out of the trunk and approached the victim with a gun. When the victim told the suspects “you can take it all”, he was hit in the head with the gun. The victim pushed the suspect and the suspect shot the victim in his shoulder area. The victim ran towards his apartment and was taken to the hospital by his roommate. A witness reports hearing a gunshot and seeing a small car speed away w/ the trunk open.
- On the evening of Nov. 4, a black male wearing a red or orange mask and gloves jumped over the counter at the Subway at 3535 Peachtree Road, brandished a black pellet gun, and forced the employee to open the cash register. The suspect placed approximately $1,000 in his pockets while holding the employee at gunpoint. One of the victims was able to grab the gun from the suspect, run and throw it across the dining room area.
The suspect struck the victim in her head several times before he fled on foot. A black pellet gun was recovered on scene. - On the evening of Nov. 6, the victim and suspect were engaged in a verbal altercation outside the Moore’s Mill Village Apartments that turned physical when the suspect struck the victim in the face with a bottle. Suspect not on scene when units arrived. Victim refused further treatment and did not want to press charges.
- Some time during the week, a suspect and victim were engaged in a verbal altercation inside the Eon Buckhead Apartments that turned physical when the suspect grabbed the victim around the neck and punched her in the eye. There were visible signs of struggle and the victim had a black eye.
- On the morning of Nov. 2, a witness alerted Units to two suspects attempting to break into the leasing office of the West Hampton Court Apartments and removing envelopes from the rent drop slot. The suspect then entered the rear of an Apartment and returned to continue removing envelopes from the drop box. The suspects were then observed returning back to a blue Jaguar where they were apprehended.
