Nolan Edmonds, a 7th grader at Sutton Middle School, has football talents respected so highly that he was invited as one of only a few athletes to represent Georgia in a national football tournament.Β  Nolan's talents both on and off the field led the APS Talk Up Blog to name him as one of the recipient's of this week's Student Spotlight award.

According to the APS article, "Nolan was selected to join an elite group of youth football players in Georgia who represented Georgia and their schools in the only event of its kind: the Football University (FBU )National Championship, an event many describe as β€œMarch Madness meets the Little League World Series.”

The All American Games (AAG) created FBU’s 40-state National Championship to allow America’s top seventh and eighth graders to compete against each other, and according to the organization, the opportunity prepares athletes forΒ optimal performance on the football field .
