Technology Expert to Address BBA

is pleased to announce that Dave Poole of Velocity Technology Partners will speak at the Buckhead Business Association Weekly Breakfast on July 19, 2012 at the City Club of Buckhead.

“Dave Poole comes to us with a wealth of expertise in the technology sector,” notes Catherine Cattles, 2012 President of the BBA.  “In an ever changing technological environment, we look forward to hearing from Dave about the impacts technology has on business, and the direction he sees technology taking the business world moving forward.”

Dave Poole is a Georgia native and resident. Dave served 5 years in the United States Army working on top secret equipment during which time he attended University of Maryland’s European division.

After his time in the service, Poole changed his career focus and worked in business development, sales, and consulting before ending up working with the technology firm with which he now co-owns.

Dave Poole is one of the owners of Velocity Technology Partners, a technology consulting firm in Georgia with offices in Buckhead and Athens.

Poole is also one of the owners and CEO of another technology hosting firm in Atlanta. Dave sits on the advisory board for Lincoln Technology College. 

Additionally Poole and his business partner, Joe Moon, are active members of the University of Georgia, Terry MIS advisory board. In addition Dave is the President of the IAMCP Atlanta (International Association of Microsoft Channel Partners), where he works directly with Microsoft and their technology partners on growth strategies and business development.

Dave has assisted many companies with growth and development strategies around technology. Dave currently works with clients spanning from small Georgia based businesses, medical groups and practices, large manufacturing to enterprises with worldwide footprints.
