Thieves Steal 2 Dogs, Money From Doggie Boarding House In Buckhead: Report

Burglars took 2 French bulldogs and $1,400 Wednesday from Kelsey's Dog House in Buckhead, police say.

ATLANTA, GA -- Police in Atlanta are looking for the thieves who broke into a doggie boarding house in Buckhead this week and got away with $1,400 and two dogs. The incident took place Wednesday morning at Kelsey's Dog House in the 300 block of Buckhead Avenue, police told local media.

Owner Mike Gringett said that he can't believe that thieves would victimize his place.

"It's a combination of anger andjust sheer shock," he told WGCL-TV. "You can't even imagine why someone would go into a dog boarding, grooming and daycare facility and want to steal anything. Our safe doesn't even keep a lot of cash. Everything's credit cards nowadays anyway."
