Warming Site Open As Temperatures Drop
Fulton County has opened a warming site to people who would otherwise be trapped outside in temperatures below 40 degrees.

ATLANTA, GA --Β Fulton County will open the Jefferson Place Emergency and Transitional Housing Facility as a warming site tonight. The decision follows weather predictions that temperatures will fall below 40 degrees later this evening. Fulton County policies require the opening of Jefferson Place as a warming site when temperature predictions drop below 40. The facility will be available beginning at 3:30 p.m. each evening until low temperature predictions rise above 40.
Jefferson Place is located at 1135 Jefferson Street, NW, Atlanta, GA 30318. For more information, citizens can call (404) 613-0412. Jefferson Place is operated by the Housing and Community Development Department, Emergency and Transitional Housing Division.
