Woman Shot In Head On Buckhead Street: Police

ATLANTA, GA -- A woman was shot in the head on a busy Buckhead street over the weekend during an attempted robbery, Patch has learned. The woman, who is declining to be identified, was with her fiancé when armed robbers jumped out of an SUV and aimed a gun at them.

The incident occurred Saturday about 3 a.m. on East Paces Ferry Road amid a bustle of activity on the street, she said. The woman said that she instinctively knocked the gun away from her face -- a move she told WSB-TV

“It was pointed between my eyebrows and maybe an inch or two away,” she told the TV station. Police said that the assailants are possibly the same people who shot someone in a robbery on Gresham Road a little later that same night. Authorities are looking for a red Chevy Tahoe or Yukon with black tinted windows and a silver strip at the bottom.
