Back To School: Buford City 2021-22 School Calendar

BUFORD, GA — Back-to-school planning has already begun in our area, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in Buford.

The first day of school for Buford City Schools students is Wednesday, Aug. 4.

Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change as the coronavirus pandemic nears its year-and-a-half point. A mix of in-person, virtual and hybrid learning is still possible in Buford City Schools.

As of July 30, masks are recommended but not required in all Buford City Schools buildings. However, masks must be worn by passengers and drivers on BCS school buses, in accordance with U.S. Department of Transportation guidelines. Vaccinations against COVID-19 are not required.

• Digital Learning Day #1: Sept. 14
• Fall Break: Oct. 7-11

• Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 22-26
• Early Release for High School Exams: Dec. 15-17
• Winter Break: Dec. 20-Jan. 4
