Authorities said two men unfamiliar to one another engaged in a dispute that led to a shooting at a Cherokee County campground area.

The shooting was the result of an altercation between Hall and the 39-year-old Cartersville man, authorities said, noting the two men did not know one another.

The man who was injured had three gunshot wounds and was taken to Wellstar Cartersville Hospital, authorities said. He remained in critical condition Monday, authorities said.

Hall was arrested and charged on suspicion of aggravated assault, aggravated battery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, authorities said. He is being held without bond at the Cherokee Adult Detention Center, authorities said.
