- The Elon University softball team has announced the 2023 signing class, and one member hails from Canton! Peyton Fitzpatrick went to Creekview High School before being recruited to the team at Elon University. She will play the position of catcher/utility. The other five players added to the team are Teagan Baulsir, Anna Dew, Greta Hessenthaler, Lia Miller, and Ella Roberson. (Elon University Athletics)
- North GA Running CO. will be hosting the Chocolate Turkey 5K and 1K Fun Run at Etowah River Park. The event will be held on Nov. 20, and everyone is encouraged to walk or run along.
