- Buff City Soap has opened its first location in Canton. The locally-owned soap-making company celebrated its grand opening yesterday, Jul. 21, at 1810 Cumming Highway Suite 36. The brand offers customizable, completely plant-based products, including handcrafted soaps, bath bombs, and more. (CBS 46 News)
- On Tuesday, the Cherokee County Board of Commissioners unanimously agreed to a partially rolled-back millage rate of 8.333. Though the approved rate is lower than the previous rate of 8.938 mills, it's still higher than the fully rolled-back rate of 4.609. According to Cherokee County Chief Financial Officer Jimmy Marquis, the region continues to enjoy one of the lowest millage rates in taxes in the metro area. (Cherokee Tribune & Ledger-News)
