CANTON, GA — Jeanette Sefers of Canton knows a hard worker when she sees one, and that's why she nominated Katherine Duckett to be a Patch Local Hero.

The aim of Patch Local Heroes is to recognize members of the community who are going above and beyond during these trying times, and, according to Sefers, Duckett fits that description perfectly.

What does the nominee do for work? Administration at Northside Hospital Cherokee

Why do you believe the nominee should be recognized or honored? She has spearheaded coordinating the delivery of all food donations here at the hospital since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. This includes all food, outreach from the community by way of homemade face masks and all other donations. This includes cookies from the Girl Scouts, to coffee and smoothies from local businesses. She tirelessly works out the schedule so all workers get to eat and the little things they need. She covers everyone and anyone that comes to work every day and helps make the day a little brighter for us here at the hospital. She organizes and keeps the calm, even when some delivery people just aren't so nice. Needless to say we are all thrilled to have her on our team.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about your hero? Caring and thoughtful.
