Cherokee Blaze Burns At Cabinet Shop

CHEROKEE COUNTY, GA — Cherokee County firefighters battled an early Wednesday morning blaze at an Old Vandiver Drive cabinet shop.

The blaze sparked around 7 a.m. at the shop, located between Canton and Ball Ground, the Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services said. At the time, the shop was heavily involved in fire.

No one was found inside the shop during a search and rescue, and crews were able to quickly control the fire, officials said.

Part of Old Vandiver Road and Old Vandiver Drive were blocked to drivers. The fire department's Fire Investigations team is determining the cause and origin of the fire.
