- A new study from the University of Georgia has determined that Monarch butterflies across the country have no basic differences. The study was conducted in part by ecology undergraduate student Christian J. Deneka, who hails from Canton. According to their research, the only difference between butterflies from the East and the West comes down to their color. Western butterflies are lighter in color because they are exposed to more light, unlike their darker East coast counterparts. To read more about the study, visit the link. (Online Athens)
